Transfer case plate may need to be modified depending on side steps and sliders. It fits with factory steps.

Please let us know if you have a manual in regards to the transfer plate

 

New bolts supplied; we have upgradable mounts as well. These are needed if the factory ones break (usually after 12 months) or if the mounts have been incorrectly welded on at the factory. It happens occasionally like 1 in 200 and they will be about 10mm out. The factory plates are forced in position when the car is built.

About The Bash Plates

Our Custom Offroad designed and made Triton bash plates will fit all models from 2015 till March 2024. The plates have been designed to use the existing holes that the standard plates bolts to and to work with all Bull Bars.

  • Transmission Plate follows on from the Diff Plate
  • Available in 3mm Mild Steel, 3mm & 4mm Stainless Steel. 3mm Mild Steel comes raw unpainted.
  • Australian Made, all our plates are made right here in Brisbane!
  • 4 piece Front, Diff/Sump, Transmission and Transfer Guard Combo
  • Replace the 1.5mm standard tin plates.
  • Slim Design for maximum clearance, no modifications and only 25 mins to fit.
  • We recommend using the standard bolts as the high Tensile put to much pressure on the mounts.
  • Does not fit with a Diff Drop, this vehicle does not need a diff drop. I own one I know

Not sure which material and thickness to choose?

Mild steel is great for short term usage 6 to 12 months. After various knocks, Mild steel starts to crack and rust over time. Stainless Steel is a far superior metal that endures a lot more hits and beach driving. The most popular setup is 3mm stainless, these plates great for general 4wding, will last you for years and give you peace of mind. If you like to go a bit more rugged in your driving and want the extra strength then the 4mm stainless is for you.

    4mm Stainless 3pce to suit MQ Triton.

    Fitup was easy, everything lined up perfect! I did have to put a small cut along 2 washers to flatten one side to suit the transmission guard plate fold.

    I have also fit a Supieror Engineering “diff drop” bracket in since and the guards still fit! Bit tight, but there is still daylight between diff and guard.

    Great product! Has already taken a few little hits and holds up mint.

Why do I need bash plates?

Underbody protection or “bash plates” are an essential part of every 4×4 setup. They are designed to protect the underside of the vehicle from any objects that could cause damage. Ultimately, protecting the underbody of your vehicle with reliable bash plates comes down to a simple cost-benefit trade-off. As avid off-roaders ourselves, we believe it’s far cheaper and easier to replace a bash plate once every several years than it is to replace parts of your vehicle every time they get hit.

Why choose Custom Offroad bash plates?

Our Aussie-made bash plates are designed to protect the underbody of your 4WD from all kinds of off-road hazards, including rocks, trees, and other debris, as well as rust and corrosion from salt water. Most vehicles come with a standard protection set-up that’s usually only 1.5mm thick or made from flimsy materials such as plastic. These standard protection plates can typically only handle one hit before they need to be replaced. 


As true 4WD enthusiasts, we wanted to create a product that would allow us to tackle even the toughest tracks without compromising the most vulnerable parts of our vehicles. That’s why all our bash plates are made from durable stainless steel and are a minimum of 3mm thick. Unlike other products on the market, these premium plates are designed to take hit after hit so your vehicle will make it through its 4×4 adventure every time. What thickness should I get?

The ideal thickness depends upon the vehicle and what kind of four-wheel driving you are doing most often. Thicker is not always better, since the plate needs to absorb as well as deflect any impact. For this reason, we’ve designed bash plates that are not only 3mm to 4mm thick but also have some flex in them as well. How do you ensure quality and durability?

Is it in stock?

Our aim is to consistently maintain our stock levels so that we can get our plates to you as soon as poosible. However, in the event your plate is unavailable, the turnaround is generally between 1 to 2 weeks. This timeframe is well below the industry average as our plates are made right here in Brisbane, Australia!

What is a Diff Drop?

A diff drop is a modification that physically lowers your diff away from the chassis in order to bring the CV angles back into alignment and closer to the factory specifications. Ultimately, the reason for considering a diff drop is to minimise the CV shaft angle that is increased by the addition of a suspension lift. As a general rule, if you have lifted your suspension by at least 2 inches then you should consider dropping the diff!

Does it fit with my brand of Diff Drop/Bull Bar?

Our plates are designed to fit with a large range of bull bar setups. If your 4WD currently retains the factory plates, and has a bull bar installed, then our plates will fit. The majority of our bash plates support a diff drop, however, we advise you consult the individual product pages for more information regarding the make and model of the 4WD you wish to fit plates to.

Stainless or Mild Steel?

After countless 4wd trips the one thing I kept replacing the most was my underbody protection. Although they did get a good beating the main problem was the rust factor, especially from my love of beach driving.

My car would look great all polished and washed except for underneath that was bent out of shape and covered with surface rust. I designed a set out of stainless steel because of the resistance to corrosion and the strength to get a better, more durable life out of my bash plates.

The stainless steel comes in a 2b matte grey finish which holds up great against scratching and with the extra strength of the stainless I’ve tried my best to knock them out of shape with no success. If you are after a bash plate that you would like to put on and not have to change every 6 months stainless is the way to go.

What is the Weight of the Plates?

Built using high-quality stainless steel, our Bash Plates provide the perfect weight to strength ratio for your 4×4. As each Make and Model is different so too is the weight of each plate. However, as a general rule, a 3 piece set of 3mm thickness, usually weighs between 24kg & 30kg, while a 3 piece set of 4mm thickness, usually weighs between 35kg & 40kg.
